Kate Weinograd joins Mapetsi from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. While with the Committee, Kate was a member of the finance team and worked closely with Democratic House Members and House Leadership to raise funds for the 2010 election cycle. Kate’s portfolio included the Midwest region as well as the national Native American community. Kate helped revamp the Native American program and was integral in not only expanding the participation of tribes on a national level but also in facilitating and advancing the dialogue between tribal leadership and House Democrats on critical issues impacting Indian country.
Prior to working for the DCCC, Kate worked in various capacities for Congressman Leonard Boswell (D-IA) and Secretary Hillary Clinton. While working for Representative Boswell, Kate directed the field program for his re-election campaign. This included directing all voter targeting and persuasion efforts while liaising with the overall Iowa coordinated and Obama for President campaigns. During her time with Hillary Clinton’s primary campaign, Kate worked in both field and event capacities across the country.
Kate is a graduate of the University of Kansas and received a B.A. in Political Science. She recently served as a legal fellow for the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, and received a Juris Doctor degree at The George Washington University School of Law in May, 2014.
